Jeff Kubiszyn, Chapter Development Manager |
"If you build it, he will come." This famous line from the 1989 movie, "Field of Dreams," might have been talking about a very special baseball diamond set in an Iowa cornfield, but it could also be applied to Jeff Kubiszyn, ACFE's baseball-loving chapter development manager. After all, if you build a chapter he will train you, help you get involved in your community and the ACFE, and help you grow as a chapter leader. The journey he offers is one that all leaders of the ACFE's 130 chapters have had to take. He's personally helped build 48 ACFE chapters from scratch and brought at least nine back to life.
"I enjoy meeting and working with the individual chapter leaders," Kubiszyn said. "Because all of our leaders are volunteers, it's great to be able to work with people who are committed to make their chapters successful. There are many reasons to volunteer your time toward a worthy cause, and the ACFE is lucky to have so many of its members want to take such an active part in their association to make it stronger."
Kubiszyn's journey with the ACFE started back in 2000, when he answered a newspaper help-wanted ad for a member services representative. It wasn't long before his outstanding listening skills were noticed by upper management. In 2003, Kubiszyn began working exclusively with chapters, listening carefully to their wants and needs and helping them achieve their goals.
