Inside the Interview

Welcome to the first edition of Inside the Interview. In this continuing column, I'll address the various elements, dynamics, and segments of interviewing, detecting deception, persuasion, and discourse analysis. My approach will most certainly be unconventional in its development and presentation.

My examination will draw from a variety of sources: book reviews, interview transcripts, antiquity, and any of the various disciplines of science where we can find a contribution that will enable us to become better interviewers. Additionally, I'll fold in a question-and-answer feature to make sure that we specifically and directly consider your issues and concerns about interviews.
