In our last column, we discussed the importance of organizing a federal job search, planning and conducting an honest self-assessment, and understanding the job market. Because of the major differences between job searches in the federal and private sector, the résumé is very different and must be more expansive. The second, and possibly more important, part of many federal applications is the KSA – a written explanation of the applicant’s experiences, training, and understanding of key job concepts.
